STATE PRIMARY

Last Day to Register as New Voter or Change Party

Residents who have moved to town, changed address within the town, newly eligible by birthdate or citizenship, or who wish to change party affiliation must do so on or before 8 pm on August 17 to be effective for the September 6, 2012 State Primary.

The Town Clerk's Office will is open 8 am - 5 pm. (NB- late hours on Friday August 17 have been cancelled by permission of the Secretray of State)

Please note - teens who will be 18 on or before primary day should preregister by the deadline to be allowed to participate in the primary.

Voter registration cards can be obtained from the Town Clerk or can be accessed on line at this link.


Voters who will not be able to go to the polls on September 6 for primary voting may obtain absentee ballots from the clerk. Ballots are currently available for mail in requests or the voter is welcome to vote in person at the Clerk's office.


Voter registration will continue for the November 6, 2012  State and Presidential election until October 17.
