** ELECTRICIAN **
The Facilities Maintenance Services Department has an opening for a full-time Electrician. The incumbent installs, tests, repairs and inspects all electrical systems in all Town facilities. The work requires a thorough understanding of complex wiring systems and the wiring principals upon which systems are designed and the ability to use schematics and to understand verbal directions of a technical nature. Requires a High School diploma; five years of working as a professional electrician in commercial and/or institutional settings; possession of a valid Massachusetts Journeyman electrician license; experience with both high and low voltage control systems, variable frequency drivers, emergency back-up generating systems, related switch gear and high and low voltage lighting systems, fire and security alarm system and
related control systems; ability to use power and hand tools safely, to read and understand blueprints, operation manuals, and other technical documents, and to work both independently and as a member of the team; proficiency in the use of a personal computer, including facilities maintenance software applications and e-mail; and a valid Massachusetts Class D driver's license. Current wage range is $23.46 - $29.95/hour. The Health Department is seeking on-call nurses to assist with the administration of vaccines, well-care clinics, home-bound visits, etc. Qualified individuals must have a BS in Nursing, a valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse license, and two years of nursing experience, and possess excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
