** COMMUNITY SOCIAL WORKER **
The Town of Wellesley’s Health Department has an opening for a part-time (eight to ten hours/week) Community Social Worker. Reporting to the Health Director, the Community Social Worker, operating within the policies established by the Board of Health and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, seeks to enhance and to make accessible the social service and mental health resources available to residents of the Town of Wellesley and their families by providing outreach, information and referral. The incumbent provides short-term counseling and crisis intervention to assess needs, refer cases and coordinate services. The work requires knowledge of local and regional social assistance programs, basic social service skills, and collaboration with other Town departments.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and three years of experience in community or health-based social work. Experience in listening, interviewing, communicating, time management, and performing crisis interventions. Computer skills, including experience with word processing, spread sheets and databases. Own vehicle and valid driver's license.

** SUPERVISORY ELECTRICAL ENGINEER **
Supervisory Electrical Engineer – the Wellesley Municipal Light Plant (“WMLP”) has an opening for an electrical engineer. The starting salary will range from the mid-$60,000 for an entry level position to $100,000 for an experienced electrical engineer. Applicants must possess a working knowledge of the design, construction, operations and maintenance of 4 kV and 13.8 kV distribution systems. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering is required. Familiarity with SCADA, metering and troubleshooting is a plus.

** RETIREMENT ADMINISTRATOR **
Reporting to the Wellesley Contributory Retirement Board, the Retirement Administrator’s primary responsibilities are performing all financial functions relating to the System, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, general ledger, and the annual audit; administering the provisions of retirement law (Massachusetts Chapter 32B) and related legal decisions; supporting and counseling the system’s members; and providing administrative support for the Board. The work is confidential in nature and performed independently in accordance with the general laws and established departmental procedures and practices. The incumbent develops efficient work processes to ensure timely and accurate completion of work while safeguarding plan assets and maintaining confidentiality at all times. The incumbent is expected to work
independently, but be responsive to requests for reporting and analysis as requested by Ex Officio (Finance Director) and the Board. The incumbent informs the Finance Director of matters requiring his/her attention. The incumbent supervises one staff member, interacts with Town employees, retirees, state agencies, and outside vendors, and safeguards confidential materials and information. Evening or weekend work may be required. Incumbent must attend annual trainings and stay current with changes in the law. Vacancy due to promoting an internal candidate. Salary dependent upon qualifications.
Requires: Four year college degree in accounting, finance, business or related field and five years experience; strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; demonstrated oral and written communication skills; and excellent time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Master’s degree and municipal experience in a retirement system or accounting office preferred.

** Finance and Budget Analyst **
The Town of Wellesley is currently seeking a Finance and Budget Analyst to be responsible for the day-to-day administration of departmental and Town functions in the areas of budgeting and financial analysis. Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following: preparing and disseminating Town-wide departmental budget instructions and forms; providing budget preparation assistance to General Government departments; collecting and compiling all annual Town budgets and reviewing same for accuracy and completeness; preparing financial budget motions for Town Meeting; and posting approved budgets to the General Ledger. Additional responsibilities include coordinating the Annual Town-wide Financial Plan and the Town’s Five-Year Capital Plan; coordinating and assisting in the development of the General Government
Services annual operating and capital budgets; preparing the annual Finance Guide and Budget Presentations for the Finance Director, the Executive Director and the BOS; supporting the Executive Director and the Finance Director in their procurement roles; providing procurement advice to Town departments; assisting in preparing requests for proposals as needed; maintaining debt schedules and participating in debt issuance/management discussions with the Treasurer, Finance Director, Executive Director, and external financial advisors. The Town of Wellesley is seeking a full time Senior Activities Coordinator to plan and oversee recreational and educational activities that the Council on Aging (COA) sponsors for senior citizens. The incumbent also updates and submits a weekly column to the local newspaper and prepares the bi-monthly newsletter. The work requires significant attention to detail, organizational skills, writing skills, and knowledge of departmental practices and procedures. The incumbent often serves as the liaison from the COA to various community groups and works collaboratively with community partners to plan and organize co-sponsored events. Some weekend and evening hours are required for events
and day trips.
