**  CIRCULATION ASSISTANT  **


Part-time position (16 hours/week) for a Circulation Assistant.  Duties include using computer terminals to charge and discharge library materials; shelving materials; shelf reading the collection; staffing the Information Desk; filling items on daily paging list; dispensing general information to customers; performing network transfer functions; and other assigned duties.  The work schedule includes one evening per week, one shift on Saturday, and one Sunday per month during the school year.  Saturday hours will be worked at one of the two branch libraries.  The requirements are a High School diploma or equivalent; working knowledge of automated systems; excellent interpersonal, oral communication and customer service skills; and six months of clerical work experience.  The hourly rate is $13.20.

**  PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE SUPERVISOR  **


The Public Health Department is looking for a Public Health Nurse Supervisor.  Fully benefited, part-time (21 hours/week) position.  The Public Health Nurse Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the Health Department's public health nursing functions.  The incumbent delivers a wide range of health services, including communicable disease control, outreach services, disease prevention, health promotion, vaccine management, licensing the Town's recreational camps, and limited nursing care, in accordance with the policies established by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Town's Board of Health.  The incumbent also manages the on-call nursing staff.  The position requires B.S. degree in Nursing and Massachusetts licensed R.N.; minimum two years of direct care nursing experience, and two years in community health, or comparable training/experience in infectious disease control or home health care; working knowledge of public health law, the Massachusetts Sanitary Code, and health care agencies; and a valid driver's license.  The successful individual must obtain Levels 100, 200 and 700 National Incident Management System certificates of achievement and obtain certificates of completion of the Columbia University Emergency Preparedness Core Competencies for Public Health Workers I and II within six months of obtaining this position.  Submit a cover letter and a resume to the Human Resources Department, 525 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA  02482 or e-mail as a Word document to hr@wellesleyma.gov by September 15, 2010.  AA/EOE



**  CUSTODIAN  **


The Wellesley Free Library is currently looking for a 15 hour/week custodian for it's two branch libraries (Tuesday - Saturday 7am - 10am)  Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, responsibilities include cleaning the building; assisting with regular and periodic maintenance; book pick up and drop off, mail pick up, cleaning windows and sidewalks; and shoveling snow.  Opens / closes the buildings.  Requirements:  High School diploma or equivalent; demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision; manual dexterity; must have ability to operate a cargo van, must have a good driving record and demonstrated initiative in recognizing needed tasks within sphere of responsibility.  Rate of pay is $16.74/hour.  Please apply to the Human Resources Department, Town Hall, 525 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA 02482 or e-mail as a Word document to hr@wellesleyma.gov by September 13, 2010.  AA/EOE



**  SAFETY COORDINATOR  **

        
Reporting to the Department of Public Works (DPW) Director, the Safety Coordinator's primary responsibility is to perform safety oversight management duties to ensure that all DPW operations and facilities are in compliance with federal, state and local statutes, bylaws and regulations.  The incumbent works closely with DPW employees and other Town departments to achieve the goal of a safe environment for employees, residents and the general public.  The Safety Coordinator develops and implements safe work practices and procedures and ensures the maintenance of safe facilities, properties and operations.  The incumbent conducts and/or coordinates safety-related activities, training and accident investigations for the DPW, and performs a variety of administrative and communicative duties for the Department.  The work requires clear and tactful communication and the ability to ensure that necessary operational changes are quickly and effectively incorporated into daily operations.  Requirements:  Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, safety engineering, public administration and two to four years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience; thorough knowledge of public works operations; excellent interpersonal, writing, public speaking, and training skills; ability to understand, apply and explain safety laws, regulations, policies and practices as they relate to municipal public works operations; knowledge of the proper use of construction tools and equipment; and a valid Class D driver's license.  Midpoint of salary range is $49,700.  To apply, submit a resume and cover letter to the Human Resources Department, 525 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA 02482 or e-mail as a Word document to jobs@wellesleyma.gov by September 17, 2010.  AA/EOE



**  SCHOOL CROSSING GUARDS  **


Excellent opportunity for individuals concerned about the safety of children.  The Town of Wellesley is currently looking to hire School Crossing Guards.  We are seeking dependable individuals to assure the safety of school children crossing the streets as they go to and from school. Interested individuals need not be Wellesley residents.  The morning shift is from 7:55 a.m. to 8:25 a.m. and the afternoon shift is generally from 3:05 p.m. to 3:35 p.m.  On Wednesdays, the afternoon shift is from 12:05 p.m. to 12:35 p.m.    Salary is $13.87/hour plus a $5.00 stipend for each shift.  Fresh air and smiling children's faces are included.  Please apply at the Human Resources Department, Town Hall, 525 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA 02482.  AA/EOE
