Residents of the Town of Wellesley,
At last year’s Annual Town Meeting, it was voted that the Advisory Report to the Annual Town Meeting would no longer be mailed to all residents of the Town. Sending the report to all residents was a throwback from 1938 when our Annual Town Meeting was an open Town Meeting format, rather than an elected body of representatives that we have today. The Town has reduced the number of reports that will be printed in an effort to be more “green” and to save money.
Instead of the report, we will mail to all residents an Advisory Letter with an overview of next year’s Town budget and a listing of the more significant matters coming before the Town Meeting.
The report will be mailed to all Town Meeting Members, Town Departments, and Boards and Committees of the Town. The report will be available to all other residents several ways:
- On the Advisory's Webpage: Please click here.
- At the Wellesley Free Library, Main Library
- At the Town Hall in the Town Clerk’s office
For those residents who would like the Advisory Report to the Annual Town Meeting mailed to their homes, they may request a copy, up to the March 20, 2009 cut off date. Please supply your name and mailing address to the Town, by:
- Calling the Town Clerk’s office: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:00pm:
781-431-1019 ext 2252
- E-mailing the Advisory Committee at:
Please note that the Annual Town Meeting begins Monday, March 30th at 7:30pm at the Middle School Auditorium.
Sincerely,
Morris Kellogg, Chair
Wellesley Advisory Committee
