Wellesley Hills Square Study
The most recent Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Wellesley, completed in 1994, recommends that detailed studies be done of the several commercial villages in Town. These studies are divided into three phases. The first phase entails creating a vision for the area. The second phase involves the development of the work program and identification of actions to achieve the vision. The third phase involves the implementation of the recommended actions.

The planning process for all phases includes public forums and a Steering Committee comprised of property owners, merchants and other lessees, residents, institutions and town officials. Public input is essential to the success of the plan, and will serve to shape future development, policies and actions to the needs and desires of the Wellesley Hills community. Phase II of the project is currently underway. The Planning Board has hired the Daylor Consulting Group of Braintree, in association with Abend Associates, to work on the project and prepare the "Action Plan".
