Payment Options
Wellesley Municipal Light Plant (WMLP) processes all billing and payments of Electric, Water & Sewer charges for the Town of Wellesley. Payments may be made in the following ways:
In-Person: payments may be made in person at 2 Municipal Way, during normal business hours. Payments will be posted to your account on the following business day.
By Mail: the most common of the ways to make a payment by returning the remittance slip along with a check or money order using the return envelope that is enclosed with your bill. These payments are sent directly to the bank for processing.
Direct Debit: the direct debit program allows deduction of the net amount owed on the account from your checking or savings account. An authorization form is required and must be completed and returned to the WMLP. You can download this form and return it to:

Payment on Disconnect Notice: Payments should be sent directly to the 2 Municipal Way office and payment must be RECEIVED by the Payment Due Date. Please do not send online payments on disconnect notices. |
Via wellesleyma.gov website: Ebill is available by clicking on the ONLINE PAYMENTS button located on the home page. You can set up the payment to be withdrawn from your savings or checking account, or you can use your Mastercard, American Express or Discover card. Visa regulations do not allow for utility payments to be made using their card. There is a convenience fee for credit card payments that is specified on the transaction. Payments can be made 24-hours a day, your utility account will be updated once payment confirmation has been received from the bank.
Online Payments: Please be aware that if you are using online bill paying that the bank or bill paying company may mail a paper check. There will be no remittance slip returned along with the payment necessitating the inclusion of your account number on the check. All WMLP account numbers are sixteen (16) digits long beginning with 63- followed by an 8 digit set of number a space and then an additional 6 digit set of numbers. Please be sure to include the entire number and the space. Remember to allow for the extra days your institution tells you to for processing.
